Thrivent Financial for Lutherans continues to fund affordable housing
Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity will receive $60,500 in funding to help build one house in Des Moines as part of Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity in 2011. Nationally, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans announced a commitment of $10.4 million to Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity and its homebuilding program. The funding will provide for the construction of 164 additional homes in 33 states. Over the last six years, Thrivent has committed more than $150 million for affordable housing, with 15 homes built in Greater Des Moines as part of that effort.
