Tim Coonan joining Hubbell Realty

237 wordsAll Latest News, Key Leadership Changes, Real Estate and DevelopmentTim Coonan is joining Hubbell Realty Co. as a vice president, helping to expand the company’s growth in the areas of commercial, multifamily and industrial.
Coonan will work with Hubbell’s Development and Construction Services division to further strategic growth, according to a news release. His responsibilities will include business development and executing capital fundraising strategies to increase Hubbell’s commercial, multifamily and industrial assets in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota.
Between 2016 and 2024, Coonan was government relations special counsel at Dentons Davis Brown law firm in Des Moines. He has nearly 20 years of lobbying experience before the Iowa Legislature and state agencies. He also has more than 25 years of public policy experience, including work in Washington, D.C.
“Tim’s unique background and extensive experience in public policy and government relations will be instrumental in strategically furthering the growth of our commercial, industrial and multifamily development projects,” Joe Pietruszynski, Hubbell’s executive vice president, said in a news release.
Coonan currently is the incoming president of the Iowa Taxpayers Association. He’s also a board member with the Iowa Association of Business and Industry and Greater Des Moines Partnership. Coonan is an adjunct professor at Drake University’s Law School, where he teaches legislative practice.
Coonan will begin his new role with Hubbell Realty on June 17.
Hubbell Realty, based in West Des Moines, is one of Iowa’s oldest real estate, development, homebuilding and construction businesses.
