Tippie College dean to retire next year
William Hunter will retire in spring 2012 as dean of the University of Iowa’s Henry B. Tippie College of Business, the Iowa City Press-Citizen reported. Hunter, 63, joined the school in July 2006. The search for his replacement will begin this summer. Under his leadership, the University of Iowa has expanded its global presence to include both an international M.B.A. program and a consortium undergraduate study abroad program in Italy. In May, a new executive M.B.A. program is slated to kick off in Des Moines.
