Tourism offices gives out awards

Last week in Okoboji, the Iowa Tourism Office and the Travel Federation of Iowa gave out 12 awards recognizing excellence in the tourism industry.

The Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau won Outstanding Tourism Publication of the Year and the Principal Charity Classic presented by Wells Fargo won the 2011 Iowa Tourism Award for Outstanding Event/Festival. For a complete list of award winners, click here.
