Trailer for block parties earns Bondurant a statewide award

The Des Moines suburb was honored for its Rec-N-Roll Trailer, which helps residents organize community gatherings. The program started in 2022 through the Bondurant Chamber of Commerce with funding from Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino, Polk County and Amazon. The city said that “over the years, the number of block parties in the community has grown significantly, providing more opportunities for residents to come together.”
