Tri-City Electric Co., an electrical contracting company based in Davenport, recently announced it has purchased three properties in the Ingersoll Avenue neighborhood. The company opened an office in Des Moines last summer.

The Ingersoll-area properties the company bought are:

• 1910 Ingersoll Ave., on which an office-warehouse building is located. Tri-City Electric, through D1 Properties LLC, paid $715,000 in November for the property, which includes a 6,072-square-foot building constructed in 1950, Polk County real estate transaction records show.

• 1821 Ingersoll Ave., which was previously home to Bill Jensen’s Crescent Chevrolet dealership. The Business Record on Feb. 19 reported the $2.5 million sale to Tri-City’s D&D Property Holding LLC. The property had been owned by Lutheran Church of Hope, which had used the structure as a satellite facility. In January, the West Des Moines church bought property at 2500 University Ave. and 1134 25th St. that had been owned by First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.

• 1816 High St., which had been occupied by an insurance group. The 7,750-square-foot office building, constructed in 1946, was included in the sale of property by Lutheran Church of Hope.

John Irving, president of Tri-City’s Central Iowa Division, said the company will occupy one of the buildings and redevelop the other properties, possibly constructing an office and retail space, or apartments.

The company has also leased 28,000 square feet of space on the south side of Des Moines for prefabrication and warehouse space.

Tri-City Electric’s metro-area projects include the Microsoft campus in West Des Moines, Fleet Farm in Waukee and the Aparium Hotel renovation in the former Midland Building in downtown Des Moines
