In its second year on the Disc Golf Pro Tour, tickets for the TruBank Des Moines Challenge presented by Discraft are now on sale. The sports event will take place at Pickard Park in Indianola on Aug. 19-21. New for this year will be a Saturday-night live concert featuring Grammy-nominated guitarist and songwriter Cory Wong, as the first show of a concert series for the 2022 Tour. Wong has also joined the Disc Golf Pro Tour as its director of music, as the tour looks to develop more on-site activities for spectators at DGPT events. “We are working to elevate this year’s event above and beyond last year,” said local DGPT coordinator Ty Tannatt. “With the concert added and having sold out in advance last year, we know the event can bring large groups of spectators and add tremendous local tourism revenue to the area.” Ticket prices range from $10 for a Friday general admission pass to $150 for the ultimate three-day VIP Plus Pass including commemorative merchandise.
