Tursi Brewing Co. was granted a conditional use permit by the Des Moines Zoning Board of Adjustment to allow for 20,000 square feet of an existing building at 1401 Thomas Beck Road, as well as a 2,000-square-foot patio area north of the building, to be used as a brewery and tavern. According to Eric Lundy, a senior city planner, no site plan is pending, and no building permit has been issued. The property, which is located south of Gray’s Lake on the city’s South Side, is owned by Pomerantz Realty Co.
