The University of Northern Iowa is now accepting fall 2023 applications for its new Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (MAIS) program. The program is one of three new additions to UNI that were recently approved by the Iowa Board of Regents. The MAIS offers a flexible and personalized plan of study for a selective and multidisciplinary group of graduate students. Unlike most master of arts programs, the MAIS allows students to take graduate courses from all departments and professional schools at UNI. Students can choose two or three concentration areas and will receive close academic mentorship and support to chart their path from the time they arrive on campus through the completion of their final project. The program is also designed to serve as a degree completion program for nontraditional students who have graduate credit and are looking for an opportunity to finish a graduate credential. Admission requirements and more information about the program can be found on the university’s website.
