United Way of Central Iowa is adding a chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer position to its senior leadership team, and has launched the search to fill the role. The new hire will oversee the organization’s human resources department as well as other organizationwide initiatives. “The Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer will help us both internally and externally to be a prominent, consistent voice for equity in our community,” Mary Sellers, president of United Way of Central Iowa, said in a release. “This addition to our team will add senior-level leadership and expertise to this key aspect of our work.” Conducting the search is executive search firm Koya Partners, which is working to build a position profile with input from a committee of community members and leaders.
