UnityPoint Health Des Moines has opened its new Eyerly Ball building, a certified community behavioral health clinic. The $10.4 million project was funded through support from the Polk County Board of Supervisors, state of Iowa, Prairie Meadows and private donors. The clinic is directly across from Iowa Lutheran Hospital, bringing a full continuum of mental health services together and opportunities to coordinate patients’ care. The new building also houses the Eyerly Ball Behavioral Health Access Center. The access center aims to serve as a centralized entry point for individuals seeking mental health services at any stage. “This new building represents a significant step forward in how we deliver mental health care — bringing critical services together in one accessible, healing space,” Cynthia Steidl Bishop, president of UnityPoint Health – Eyerly Ball, said in a prepared statement.
