University of Iowa Food Pantry distributes more than 12,000 pounds of food this summer

83 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and Culture, Iowa Stops HungerSince reopening for the summer on May 20, the University of Iowa Food Pantry has distributed 12,228.5 pounds of food — up from the 1,905.5 pounds distributed in total during the 2019 summer, the Daily Iowan reported. The food pantry is free to all UI faculty, staff and students and has seen a particular increase in staff visiting, the Daily Iowan reported.
Iowa Stops Hunger is a year long Business Publications Corporation initiative to bring awareness and action to food insecurity in Iowa.
