The Iowa Utilities Board has extended the winter moratorium on electric and gas shutoffs to May 13 due to flooding. It normally ends April 1.

The Iowa Utilities Board has extended the winter moratorium on electric and gas shutoffs to May 13 due to flooding. It normally ends April 1. The action applies to investor-owned, municipal and cooperative utilities. The extension will help customers in declared disaster areas return to their properties, IUB said.
