Valent BioSciences and Sumitomo Chemical have acquired FBSciences Holdings, a provider of naturally derived plant, soil and climate health products. The acquisition will expand Valent BioSciences’ presence in the global biostimulant market and offer a comprehensive range of biostimulants, biopesticides and crop nutrition. FBSciences’ portfolio of biostimulant technologies will form the foundation of a wide range of innovative solutions for agriculture. Both companies have a strong research and development background. The acquisition supports Sumitomo Chemical’s goal of becoming carbon-neutral by 2050.
