Following the centennial of the 19th Amendment, women-owned Artisan Gallery 218 in historic Valley Junction continues to celebrate suffrage in America through its new exhibit, “The Suffrage Project.” The exhibit showcases portraits of those who worked tirelessly to ensure women had the right to vote. The works of sculptor Nancy Briggs and collage artist Marybeth Heikes are also featured in “The Suffrage Project,” which is open to the public through the November election. Admission to the gallery is free Tuesdays through Saturdays. Protective masks and social distancing are required.
