Veridian Credit Union distributed $90,000 in grants to 24 organizations across Iowa and eastern Nebraska. The credit union awards Successful Financial Future Grants annually of up to $5,000 each to nonprofit organizations that address barriers to financial stability through financial literacy and employment readiness.

Des Moines-area recipients of Veridian’s Successful Financial Future Grants include:

• Lutheran Services in Iowa – $5,000
• Project IOWA – $5,000
• Oakridge Neighborhood Services – $5,000
• International Rescue Committee – $3,000
• By Degrees Foundation – $3,000
• Junior Achievement of Central Iowa – $2,500
• Hawthorn Hill – $2,500
