Veridian Credit Union will host a community shred day at five spots across Iowa Saturday.

Veridian Credit Union will host a community shred day at five spots across Iowa Saturday. The shred day, from 9 a.m. to noon at Veridian Credit Unions in five Iowa cities, will provide Iowans a way to shred unwanted documents that contain sensitive information. Locations are:

Ankeny: 1201 S. Ankeny Blvd.
Cedar Rapids: 2810 Edgewood Road S.W.
Iowa City: Hy-Vee East, 812 S. 1st Ave.
Waterloo: 1827 Ansborough Ave.
West Des Moines: 5910 University Ave.

Shredded paper will be recycled. Goodwill Industries will be at each location to take unwanted computer equipment to be recycled or refurbished.
