In October, NEXUS Executive Women’s Alliance announced the launch of its EPIC Corporate Challenge at a luncheon for Central Iowa CEOs at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden.
The EPIC Challenge invites businesses to pledge to formally commit to grow and retain female leadership at all levels. Principal Financial Group Inc., Delta Dental of Iowa, the Greater Des Moines Partnership, the Iowa National Guard and Des Moines Area Community College have already accepted the EPIC Corporate Challenge.
At the luncheon, CEOs and leaders from Principal, the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the Greater Des Moines Partnership shared their thoughts on why equality is not a gender issue but rather a workforce and economic issue.
