Li Zhao is the co-founder and president of China Iowa Group, and as a native of China and someone whose primary business is helping businesses do business with China, she has some unique insight into the COVID-19 virus. Zhao just happened to be the featured speaker today at the Greater Des Moines Committee lunch, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect as she adapted her talk to address the virus. After her presentation I pulled her aside and asked if she would be willing to provide an impromptu quick snapshot of her assessment of what the virus could mean for business in Iowa. She graciously agreed, and powered through the clanking from lunch cleanup in the background to give a nice, succinct thought on what Iowa should be watching. The big question?
