Greene County Medical Center’s board of trustees announced the hospital has hired Tracy Warner as its new chief executive officer. She has been its interim CEO since March 26. Warner succeeds Carl Behne, who resigned in January to take a position as chief strategy officer for Exemplar Care in West Des Moines. Warner comes to Jefferson from UnityPoint Health-Des Moines, where she was director of rural health resources for the past 14 years. During her time supporting the UnityPoint Health-Des Moines network of rural hospitals, which includes Greene County Medical Center, Warner was instrumental in arranging for the implementation of numerous resources for rural hospitals. Before joining UnityPoint Health, Warner held various finance policy-related roles at the Iowa Hospital Association for over 13 years, including as vice president of finance policy. She has a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Kansas. She and her husband, Rick, have four children and three grandchildren.
