Majors & Mondragon LLC, a wealth management and retirement benefits firm, announced it has opened an Iowa branch in Ankeny. The firm, based in Houston, focuses on educating individuals and business owners through relationship-based plan designs, said Stoy Hall, executive director and senior wealth adviser, who leads the Iowa office. “In our communities we need more education, specifically financial education; this is why we are beyond excited to bring such an outside-the-box way of doing financial planning,” Hall said in a release. Hall has a business degree from Drake University and was previously a managing partner with Modern Woodmen of America. Niki Wilson, associate director and senior benefits consultant in Ankeny, heads the firm’s retirement and benefits division. She is an Iowa State University graduate with a degree in business and management and had worked in sales and training for Aflac.
