Des Moines-based insurer Wellabe has named Mary Anna Jones as the company’s assistant vice president of national sales distribution. Jones will lead the company’s health distribution sales of Medicare Supplement and ancillary health products, including hospital indemnity, short-term care, first diagnosis cancer, and dental insurance. Jones brings more than 20 years of experience from multiple roles in insurance, pharmaceutical sales and account management. She held leadership roles with Liberty Bankers Insurance Group, UnitedHealthcare and others. “Wellabe is known for its quality insurance products and excellent customer support. I am especially excited to leverage the expertise and innovative mindset of our sales and product teams to find new ways to help our agents succeed and our customers be well prepared and well protected,” Jones said in a prepared statement.
