Wells Fargo seeks community involvement grant requests
The Wells Fargo Foundation is now accepting grant requests from Central Iowa nonprofit community engagement-related organizations and projects. The deadline is Feb. 15. The foundation has four grant request areas of focus throughout the year. In addition to community engagement, the other focus areas and the grant application deadlines are education (April 15), community development (July 15) and human services (Oct. 15). Grant requests are considered in the designated focus area each quarter, and decisions are made locally by a committee of team members, said Emily Bahnsen, Wells Fargo’s community affairs officer in Iowa. “We look to support projects from 501(c)(3) organizations that keep our communities strong, diverse and vibrant,” she said.
