The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce announced it will invite alumni of its professional development program, YURtern, to celebrate the program’s seventh year. More than 1,300 student interns have been part of the program since 2017. The YURtern Alumni Social will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on July 10 at Spare Time Entertainment. Alumni are invited to network with the current participants and enjoy free food and entertainment. Last year, more than 350 interns from 42 businesses, 18 colleges and universities and 10 states participated in the free program.
