The city of West Des Moines has announced the return of the Community Engagement Institute for spring 2025. The program aims to provide residents with an inside look at how local government operates and give city leaders a deeper understanding of community needs. The goal is to give residents a space to ask questions, build connections and provide insight to city leadership. The program will run for seven weeks with two-hour sessions held weekly from April 9 to May 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Residents can apply until April 1. The program is limited to 20 participants.
