BPW Insurance Group, a West Des Moines-based independent insurance agency specializing in personal and business insurance, has reorganized and changed the company name to Phillips Stafford Insurance Group. Brad Phillips, one of three founders of the firm, brought on two new partners, Joel Jacobsen and Josh Stafford, after his two original partners left in December 2014. Jacobsen was previously Iowa regional sales vice president for Farm Bureau Financial Services; Stafford was an agent and top producer with Farm Bureau for five years. Along with the reorganization, Phillips Stafford Insurance Group has opened a second office in Altoona, at 809 S.W. Eighth St. With the change in ownership structure, the agency has increased revenues by nearly 300 percent in the first quarter and nearly tripled its agency sales force in less than six months, Phillips said in a release.
