Throughout February, teams will collect canned food items in the community. The team that collects the most will earn a special recognition from Trimble. Audrey Kennis, director of human services and inclusion, said that between 2022-2024, visits to the West Des Moines Human Services Food Pantry have increased by 74%. Food donations also typically dwindle in February after the holidays. “Now more than ever it is important to demonstrate care by supporting the most under-resourced members of our community,” Kennis said in a prepared statement.
