West Glen Town Center has cleared nearly $340,000 in unpaid property taxes off the books of the Polk County treasurer.
The West Des Moines commercial and residential center paid taxes on Dec. 15, 2010, that were due Sept. 30, 2010.
Most of the delinquent taxes were due on office and retail properties that have been difficult to lease because of the recession. West Glen Town Center LLC paid $337,592 on eight parcels, including the Keystone building, a mix of apartments and retail spaces, and the Promenade office building. Interest on the unpaid taxes totaled $15,192.
West Glen paid more than $600,000 in property taxes on West Glen Town Center East and other featured segments of the development, such as buildings flanking the Avenue of the Arts, when they were due.
