Des Moines Public Library business book pick: “The Psychology of Money: Timeless Lessons on Wealth, Greed, and Happiness” by Morgan Housel

Why you should read it: In his 2020 bestseller, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories that explore the way people think about money, and teaches readers how to make better sense of one of life’s more important topics. Housel argues that money – investing, personal finance, etc. – is taught as a math-based field, but in real life people make decisions at a personal level and not because of spreadsheets.
