Corridor Business Journal: Melissa Whisler has been appointed administrative chief of staff at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. In the role, she will work with CEO Suresh Gunasekaran, hospital executives and other stakeholders to promote the alignment of institutional strategic initiatives and priorities across departments. Whisler joined University of Iowa Health Care in 2008 and served as clinical department administrator in the Stead Family Department of Pediatrics since 2015. Prior to that role, she was the clinical department administrator for the emergency department.
