The Wild Boar Challenge for Charity, presented by Contributors Breakfast Club, will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday at Wildwood Hills Ranch in St. Charles. The race will support Wildwood Hills Ranch, which provides educational programming, leadership development, job skill training and equine therapy for at-risk youths. Wildwood Hills Ranch makes a 10-year commitment to those they serve and works with them from ages 8 to 18. Wildwood also supports veterans in need. More than 600 racers will navigate 5-plus miles of hilly terrain and more than 16 obstacles along the course route. Packet pickup will be available from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at Smash Park at 6625 Coachlight Drive in West Des Moines. Participants can also pick up packets Saturday before the race.
