The Healthiest State Initiative recently announced the winners of the 2020 Healthiest State Annual Awards. Winners were recognized in six categories for their efforts to improve the physical, social and emotional well-being of their students, employees and fellow Iowans. Among the three winning workplaces recognized were Drake University in the large employer category and Anawim Housing in the small employer category. Opportunity on Deck in Urbandale was the out-of-school program winner. Each winner received a monetary prize to continue their work focused on improving the health and well-being of their employees, students or citizens.
