Prairie Meadows has awarded a $100,000 Legacy Grant to Mercy Foundation for the construction of the Mercy Comfort Health Center for Women. The center will be located on the first level of the Mercy West Medical Clinic, 1601 N.W. 114th St. in Clive. The facility, which was made possible in part through an $8.5 million gift from the Comfort Family Foundation, is currently under construction and is projected to open in spring 2017. “We are extremely pleased to have received this grant from Prairie Meadows,” said Leisha Barcus, the health center’s director. “This grant is helping us reach our fundraising goal for this important project. The Comfort Health Center for Women will make available a team of specialists, all located in one convenient location, to bring quality health care and support to women as they enter midlife and beyond.”
