Workers sent home indefinitely from ‘Gitmo ISU’
KCCI-TV: Iowa State University employees who had been being paid to sit in a room and do nothing all day were sent home indefinitely Monday. The AFSCME union members have had nothing to do since Iowa State stripped them of their system access to work on computers May 25. About a dozen were being paid to sit in a room and do nothing all day, while eight others were being paid to sit at home.
