The 2024 World Food and Music Festival will be held at Western Gateway Park in downtown Des Moines from Aug. 23 to 25. The event will feature nearly 60 food vendors representing over 30 countries and live musical and dance performances as well as professional cooking demonstrations and a cooking challenge. The full schedule of events is available here. This year’s event is the 20th anniversary of the festival, which started in 2005 in the East Village. The event moved to Western Gateway Park in 2017. Today, the festival gets more than 90,000 visitors, according to the Greater Des Moines Partnership.
