Youth Emergency Services & Shelter has received a $45,000 grant from Variety – the Children’s Charity to fund safety enhancements to the agency’s emergency shelter and Blumenthal Crisis Nursery. YESS cares for up to 56 children a day, with clients ranging from newborn through age 17. The agency offers crisis intervention services and on-site education, case management, counseling and mental health therapy. “This significant investment in the continued safety of our clients, staff, volunteers and visitors is another testament to the vital role Variety plays in improving kids’ lives in our state,” said YESS CEO Leisa Fox.
