The Young Professionals of Iowa is hosting its annual statewide gathering of young professionals on Friday, Oct. 18, in Ankeny, a news release said. Attendance is open to professionals working in all industries, public or private sector, and living and/or working in Iowa. Attendees often include those between the ages of 20-40, but all are welcome, including collegiate student-leaders, the release said. Session topics include well-being, placemaking, managing community young professional organizations and tools for effecting positive change. The event is at Des Moines Area Community College’s FFA Enrichment Center and runs from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. More details and registration are available here.
