The Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute and the Youth Leadership Initiative are now accepting applications for the Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) class of 2011-2012. The program is an opportunity for high school students across the Des Moines metro area to meet twice monthly and explore topics in leadership while learning about the Greater Des Moines community. Students who are currently freshmen and sophomores in public and private schools or who are home-schooled may apply for the program by contacting the program director, Karen Ligas, at 262-5695, or going online to www.gdmli.com/yli. Applications are due by March 21.
